Established and reputable medium-sized accounting and audit firm in the Garden Route has opportunities for Audit Professionals to join their offices in George or Knysna. This is an ideal opportunity for ambitious professionals to join a practice with a long-term overview in assurance, accounting and settling in the Garden Route.
Candidates with completed articles and various levels of experience will be considered, i.e., audit seniors, audit supervisors, audit managers, and even SAIPA-qualified candidates with some audit experience.
The firm provides a wide range of services to clients including external audit, internal audit, accounting services, taxation, estate planning, and administration, company secretarial, and payroll.
This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate who wants to relocate and establish themselves in the Garden Route. Thus, a candidate with the intention of a long-term commitment would be viewed favorably.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce client reports (AFS, Minutes, Certificates, Management letters, etc.)
- Propose and finalize audit opinions.
- Audit assignment budget planning and management.
- Monitoring and evaluation of performance in relation to the budget.
- Conduct full audit file reviews and related reports to ensure the relevant files are ready for sign-off.
- Perform tax return reviews.
- Manage resourcing and plotting of staff members on audit engagements.
- Work allocations as required by individual audit assignments.
- Ensure audit planning documentation is completed.
- Approve time-sheets.
- Perform billings and manage WIP.
- Performance management of staff members including, continuously providing feedback to staff.
- Provide technical assistance to staff members (where required).
Qualifications and Experience:
- BAccounting, BCom Accounting, BCompt or equivalent CA(SA) stream degree.
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles.
- Chartered Accountant / CA(SA)., PA(SA), AGA(SA) and advantage.
- Working knowledge of CaseWare, Excel, and Word.
- Experience in compilations, reviews, and audits.
- Own transport, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Good communication skills (English and Afrikaans).
Remuneration:
- R20,000 to R40,000 pm, depending on experience.
